                         FROM FORTRESS AMERICA

A NACV SCENARIO FROM THE SOVIET VIEWPOINT

                           GARY MILLER 118

                           SCENARIO NOTES

The time is late June 1994. The place is somewhere in the mid Atlantic. War

has been grinding on now for over 3 months. The Soviets have been highly

successful in a war of speed, then of attrition. NATO has been outflanked

and has lost Scandinavia, Iceland and much of Central Europe. Great

Britain is hanging on by a thread and is heavily dependent on the U.S.A. for

supplies. The Soviet navy, now operating in the mid Atlantic region, is ruler

of the seas. They have moved up heavy bombers to Keflavik and are now

patrolling the Atlantic region. This scenario is based on the premise

that the Soviets will attempt to further consolidate gains and cut off Great

Britain. The strangulation has begun.

Red Orders:

Comrade Admiral, you are to continue to harass all NATO supply convoys

attempting to reach England. Your primary objective is to seek out and

destroy as much shipping as possible while defending current bases.

Intelligence reports that the Americans are getting desperate and may resort

to tactical nuclear weapons. If you are attacked, you may reply in kind.
